with the words from a poet and the voice of a choir

this is my barbequeing outfit.

trying to do more vegetables lately as part of my 14,537th "healthy choices" push. these suckers burn easily. note: only unburnt sweet potatoes were consumed. no thank you carcinogens.

sometimes healthy choices involve veggie dogs. sometimes meaning when you don't want to go to the grocery store.

yes yes yes

come to me little peas! i got 5 viable plants out of 12, i think the rest got too damp because i had to keep them covered with a clear thingy (cupcake tray cover) during the day as to avoid any cat interference. i repotted these about a week ago. i swear one day my pictures and posts will be up to date*.
*it will never happen.

cinco de mayo. blowout denial.

bacon cat wants bacon.

been doin a lot of this lately...

good one.

stella, for a cat, you're pretty awkward.

also doing a lot of this. there are about a thousand more plants out there now.

growing growing

remember these?

HI LITTLE BUDDY!! well they looked like this for a few days, now they are full blown pea plants. pictures soon. i can't keep up! i put them in a long window box on the floor of the balcony so they can (hopefully) grow up the lattice. they are so darn cute, with their curly tendrils and clover-looking leaves.

little baby parsley

turned into ACTUAL parsley! these guys are getting bigger by the day. i keep smelling them to see when they'll get that parsley smell, but i think they're still too young.

this weekend i put in:
rosemary
basil
oregano
cilantro
sage
thyme
green leaf lettuce
arugala
tomatoes
cayanne peppers

i need more pots. well, what i need is an actual garden. i want cabbage and eggplants and zucchini and spinach but for those you need to have a ground to plant them in (actually i could probably do spinach). where am i going to put my flowers??
