leg ruffles!

underbellies.

this IV stuff is way less scary now.

it's become easier and easier and takes only a few minutes. she has stopped wiggling the needle out, and mostly just sits still. she still makes unhappy chattering/long meowing noises at us and runs away when it's over but she isn't as angry or completely freaked out at all. i'm so glad it's becoming "normal" for us because i really hated how traumatic it was for all of us. my heart would pound and my hands would shake and then i would watch her for an hour to make sure she was ok. it really sucked. p.s. i will be looking for a volunteer to do it with me on saturday august 6th. all you would have to do is open the line and then close the line. i'll do the hard stuff, i just need two hands to hold her. you would be my hero.
tiny cat, you are my heart.

ok, onwards. got some new kicks. i borrowed a pair of these for that 5K hike on our last camping weekend and they were so comfortable i had to get a pair. slippers you can hike in. not bad.

and a new shirt! just in time for laundry day. please note missing futon mattress. it is in the livingroom, under the AC so that we can actually sleep.

oh, my ratty jean shorts. i think this is year 7 with these babies. that is actual wear, not fake wear. you can tell. one day i'll be walking down the street and they will just turn to dust and fall off.
tote.

told you i found my beach glass collection.

aggressive flowers. FREEDOM.

i don't know how this happened. needed a place for the bananas. i got the vase at the chief salvage garage sale. good find. can't wait to get some flowers in it.

nice half-formed fresh bruise from running into a spin bike.

i was running late, rushing, and my eyes hadn't adjusted from the outside world (didn't have my "spin eyes" yet) and i slammed right into the handle. it went right between two muscles, gave me a really nice charley horse and i was going so fast that my whole body bent around the impact. it was awesome, especially since it was right at the front of the class. then i said "well THAT's a bike" to make things less awkward (more awkward).
this concludes today's episode of cat-lady buys stuff and runs into things.
