this is me, on the internet, ON THE INTERNET!!!

i have so many little things to do, and no way to organize my time. it's hard to get moving when you don't have any hard deadlines. i guess i could buy a canteloupe today for the fruit platter i'm making for my godson's birthday party. or i could do it tomorrow. or i could make those pillowcases that have been on my to-do list forever. or i could go buy much-needed jeans (ugh ugh ugh jeans shopping). or the remaining 6 spice jars i need to complete the epic spice project i started last week. actually i should probably go buy some supplies to start the garden. or i could do one of 3 loads of laundry that's waiting to be done. i think i'm the only person i know that can pretty much spiral into an anxiety attack because of a day off in the middle of the week.

scheherazade

scheherazade saved herself from being beheaded by the evil king (who would marry a virgin every day and behead them the next once a new virgin was acquired) by telling stories so magnificent that the king couldn't live without them. there are thousands of depictions of her, she looks different in every one.

this is my favourite. alberto vargas of vargas girls fame.

it's also my desktop. i need to clear it out, i know. it's been my desktop for almost three years. i would change it, but i don't think there is another picture that i find more aesthetically pleasing than this one.

cemetery

the last two times i have been lucky enough to find myself in the dominican republic i noticed this cemetery as we drove through the countryside. this time i got up the courage to ask the driver if we could stop for a few minutes so i could desecrate the graveyard by taking photos of it. he thought this would be fine and so i did it. and then i felt dirty. both because of taking pictures of other people's loved ones graves, and also because i tripped and got dirt in my shoe.

I WANNA DO STUFF. YA KNOW?
