right now i'm doing a project on historical monuments during the french revolution.
did you know that they used old churches for construction materials...just because they could? this 1,000 year old abbey, no big deal, just use the stones to build houses. who cares about "history" and shit?

luckily there were people who saw it as a loss and built museums to house leftover fragments, such as this one. thank you lenoir.
