home life
hanging with the cats takes up most of my extra time. they're like kids, but never need a diaper change, only need feeding once a day, and don't require RESPs. oh, and they're really soft and love me a lot. it rules.

i have been thinking lately (more so than usual) of chopping my hair off. i talk myself out of it every time for fear of it looking stupid. ah first world problems.

if there is a pile of sweaters somewhere, stella will locate it and make it into a nest.
my cookie baking/eating has risen 75% since acquiring this guy. not bad.
all in all, it's a good life. too good.

gentlemen-take note
recently we went to the maharaja: the splendour of india's royal courts exhibition at the AGO. if you are into beautiful things, you will love it. go. if your girl is into beautiful things, and you want to turn her into a pile of mush, go. i was especially taken by the floral patterns and the elaborate-ness of everything. knife handles, fan handles, guh. there was one turban pin in particular that embodied pretty much everything that i find aesthetically pleasing. i have to go back.
while pretty much everything was breathtaking, there was one item that i could not stop staring at. it was very hard to step away from. i introduce to you the patiala necklace, originally owned by this guy. over four years, it was reconstructed by Cartier, who bought sections of it that were found in a second hand shop in London. stand in front of this thing for at least a minute, and tell me you wouldn't do anything to put it on, just once. it radiates light. it's insane.

feel free to donate to my patiala necklace fund. so far it is comprised of a dime and two pennies i found on the floor.
