it's in my honey it's in my milk

what a busy week and a half. from cottage to stag and doe in the ottawa valley, back to cottage, to other cottage, back to first cottage, to home, to wedding, to home. unfortunately i didn't take too many pictures of any of that, i was too busy enjoying it all. so here are some random bb flicks from the past while.

this little guy flew into the windows at my work. to the rescue!

he's now resting at a bird centre, to be released asap.

it has taken forever for stella to feel safe enough to get really close to us. poor little meerkat. every now and then she'll come and lie on me like this and it feels like such a gift. i also always think of how cats purring has been shown to have healing qualities and i imagine her little purrs settling my tummy and making sure everything is working in there. it feels warm and fuzzy.

FALL IS COMING! that means i'm pulling out all my black lace and dusting it off.

scored this fella at an antique store just outside of dwight. it cost more than i wanted to pay but i know i will use it forever. love how the tea goes up the spout.

my drink this summer has been rum, perrier, homemade iced tea, fresh lemon juice, and homegrown mint. it's basically a mojito but without the sugar, lemon instead of lime, and with iced tea. it's like drinking a dip in the lake. delicious.

i think tea and booze should have a closer relationship.

yesterday, for the second time in my life, i bought leggings at lulu lemon. i spent more on them than i would spend on jeans but i figure that the better my butt looks at the gym, the more time i will want to spend there. i think it's working. thanks VISA.

CAMPING PARTS II AND III

the second camping trip of the summer was to canisbay lake. we went on an epic hike called centennial ridges. took about 4 hours to do 10K, which is pretty good considering we stopped to ooh and aah every five minutes.

i hope we can go again before the summer's out. planning a trip for labour day weekend, we just have to find a site, but we found a pocket of them that we can pick from on a few campgrounds.
