it's all around you

last night i went to a funeral where everyone wore white, there was laughter to match the crying, strangers met strangers through being asked to turn to them and ask how their family is doing (while grasping each others' forearms), bums were pinched because it would have made her laugh, and everyone held a lit, white candle and chanted Om (the sound of the universe). when it was over they played all is full of love by bjork and turn the lights down low by bob marley and lauren hill. people danced.

it was inspiring and a true celebration of life and i could not believe how full my heart was made, even though i didn't know her well. i think that's a testament to the life she lived and a lesson to everyone to find the light and love in everything around us. i know i am today and it's something i hope i can carry with me.

That sounds like a great funeral! Is that weird to say?

P.S. I see you!

not weird at all, i totally agree. if one has to have a funeral, this is a pretty good way to do it.
