aweeee little snuggler.

i'm working on a new knit project. it's a headband. i already have a couple but this wool was an amazing colour so i couldn't resist. it's a bit more olive green than in this photo.

this is me spending my lunch break stretching and knitting. hard life. you can't tell but i'm snuggled next to the space heater in the office. oh and i'm not wearing shoes.

this is me spending my lunch break at the gym. also hard life. it's honestly so great that i get to sneak in working out into my 8 hour day. if i had to do it before or after work i would be way less likely to actually do it.

when not doing a class i use this app because it is AWESOME:
i've been meaning to look into the bodyrock app because that shit is amazing.
ok speaking of being active i went to my mom's new abode and helped paint for a full day. it was hard. but, it's being able to do things like painting the inside of a closet three times without too much difficulty that make me thankful for being fit(ish).

no makeup, hangover, greasy hair, paint nipple. a vision of loveliness, i was.

this one, on the other hand, always looks like a tiny fuzz princess. i was in the room for five minutes before even noticing that she was sitting in the plant. she's SO BAD. i have told her a thousand times to stop getting in there because i'm worried about the roots getting crushed, but she doesn't listen.

tee hee hee

so last wednesday we went to The Red Ball, which was a celebration of the ten year anniversary of our friend Jessica being diagnosed as HIV positive. she wanted to throw a party for the people in her life that have supported her, and also to celebrate the advances made in both the HIV+ community and the medical world that have allowed her to live a full life. it was pretty PRETTY emotional, but the speeches were also really funny. look how beautiful she is:

we were asked to wear red, and to keep in mind that it was a "Ball" and dress with flair. so i did.

good excuse to wear a fairly ostentatious dress.

nice sunset from the other night. other people's pictures were way better but i like the silhouettes of the trees.

SKATING TIME! so far i've already gone more times than all of last winter. at least twice a week. i want to get better, and it's the only way (besides lessons which are super expensive and generally geographically inconvenient).
see all those frames up there? i have to go through those and get rid of a whole bunch. you're next, frames. YOU'RE NEXT.
