one such adventure was to lake dudu, which is a very beautiful meteor lake that you can swing in to.

this is what it looks like:

no filter for you purists:

there are some great pictures of people swinging from the rope swing on Linn's blog here. i did not swing because i was traumatized by wrenching my forearms doing it a few years ago. i always think i'm stronger than i am, try something i think i can do easily, and am put in my place (see: chin-ups, throwing rocks, getting on horses). then the voice says "see, no matter what you do, you will always be WEAK" then i have to remember that i am healthy, so who fucking cares? also, please note in the other pictures that the "handle" of the rope swing, is in fact a piece of rebar, which makes the swinging a little less attractive to my maiden palms. the exception to this physical activity failure rule is dance video games, more on that later.

back at the ranch there are many ways you can pass your day.

as previously mentioned, walking on the beach is a really good one.

photo 3.JPG

or you can just walk around the grounds. this is an amazing garden. the stone on the top of that fountain came from the time (and whereabouts) of jesus' supposed lifetime. it is very, very beautiful.

photo 4.JPG

or, you can sit on one of a million plush couches and drink a perfect cappucino from the new machine.

photo 3.JPG

this is alex breastfeeding. you can't tell, but dave wants you to know that boobs are involved.

photo 5.JPG

hanging.

photo 4.JPG

look, my nails match this plant. i told the girl that it would make me feel less shitty when i'm back in shitty toronto to have crispy nailz.

Fwd:

this gazebo overlooks the ocean. it's relaxing.

photo 3.JPG

photo 1.JPG

or, you can play with "toypedos", the wonderful water toy that look basically exactly like giant dildos.

photo 5.JPG

hey addie!

photo 2.JPG

or perhaps playing tennis in an orchid garden is more your cup of tea?

photo 3.JPG

there are other sports facilities, but i didn't take pictures of them (this year).

what's that you say? there's an awards show? then lets watch it in style.

photo 3.JPG

we played a drinking game where you had to drink every time billy crystal sang, someone thanked god or their parents, and every time the camera cut to george clooney, which was ALL THE TIME. so we got drunk.

for the night birds, you can attempt karaoke. the screen of the player was broken, but we found a way around it. play the youtube karaoke version of the song through the house soundsystem (sorry), and sing through the karaoke mic/speakers set, and just read the lyrics on someone's iphone. not having the actual cues makes it..."interesting".

Fwd:

i don't know what song this was.

Fwd:

feeling lucky? doolay wants to play blackjack with you. here he is wearing Jan's glasses. he will yell THREE TIMES THE MONEY at you repeatedly, until you lose, when he will say "terrible tragedy" ever so sarcastically.

BLACKJACK!

photo 2.JPG

mine mine mine

photo 5.JPG

ok lets just drink now. jager bombs please, jager-lady!

photo 4.JPG

then, you will have courage to play Just Dance on xbox. turns out it's my new favourite game.

photo 1.JPG

there are a lot of amazing pictures of this, but i will spare the other participants and leave you with this:

all in all, good times!
