more chamomile.

i love my walk to work.

look at the size of this rosebush.

saturday started at the best coffee spot in my hood.

then we went to a parking lot so that i could practise some slow speed maneuvering.

i will tell you, riding a 900cc triumph is very different from riding a 150cc dirtbike. very, very different. i will definitely be getting something much smaller. i don't want to wonder if i'm going to be able to keep it upright. that thing is heavy! and not mine, so that was a bit nerve-wracking.
saturday night there was a goodbye party for one of my favourite colleagues (formerly my boss). we did it in style - karaoke style at the jekyll and hyde pub. which, by the way, is kiiiind of a crazy place on a saturday night. even if you took out our (highly debaucherous) party of 30+, you would still find yourself amongst some of the heartiest partiers i've encountered in a while.
the woman of honour dancing with her husband:

a few of us. such a great group of people. i was on my way out after singing american girl.

as i entered the station i could hear the train coming in so i ran down, made it in time, and then realized i was going the wrong way. worst!

this is the face of someone who wanted to be home half an hour ago.

i wanted to be well rested because i had my M2 re-test yesterday. i will spare you the details of the spill i took in the pre-test practice and just tell you that i passed with flying colours.

my body is aching and i'm slightly bruised up (and my rain pants are no longer waterproof) but this piece of paper was top of mind so i just got back on and showed them what was what.
a celebratory dinner was had at Hey Meatball with karen and matias. the food was great, (the veggie version of the "rodfather" sandwich was amazing). i would go there again, but don't expect to be served or to drink booze. more of a lunch spot perhaps. i had a house-made ginger beer and it was really good. almost as good as One Love's house-made ginger beer. almost. mmmmm One Love. so good.
ended the weekend by watching the season finale of SNL with oscar squishy-face mcduck.

what a little fuzzball. yeah, just tuck your toesies under to keep em warm.
