i need an actual camera. well, a better one. that reminds me, i have half of greece trapped on my camera. note to self: DEAL WITH THIS TONIGHT SARAH.

i've been thinking i might ask for 3/4 of  really nice camera from all parties in my life for a christmas/birthday present. they could buy shares in it. it would pay them back as i document all family gatherings and make flickr albums and send out guest passes to them, yes i am that person.

so. here are instructions on how to not burn yourself (i could write a book):

do not, under any circumstances, attempt to make the end of a candle "melty" by lighting the wick from the bottom, letting it melt the wax a bit, then stuffing said lit end into a whiskey bottle that STILL HAS A DROP OF WHISKEY IN IT. why? because it will not simply snuff out as you imagined it would, as whiskey is flammable. it will instead explode a fine spray of very, very hot wax and air out of the bottle. it will burn your hands while coating them in hot wax and it will also ruin your night. you will lay on the couch with your hands wrapped in ice. you will not want to make dinner. you might even cry.



dinner did get made eventually ("suck it up princess, this corn is not going to season itself" is what i said to myself)

on that note, here is something that you SHOULD do. make lime-chili corn (brush a mixture of olive oil, chili powder and lime juice onto corn. grill said corn) and eat it with cilantro butter. cilantro butter is exactly what you think it is. it's cilantro chopped up and mixed into butter. plain cilantro on the side.



i'm sorry if you hate cilantro but it's not my fault you're crazy
