there was trouble taking place

my whole body hurts. inside, outside, all of it.

i have successfully, finally and completely copied my entire cd collection to my external hard drive. i deleted most of it from itunes. what a weight off (dead weight). i want to throw them off a cliff. if anyone wants any mid 90's alt-rock cds (eg. radiohead's pablo honey as pictured below and many many more of that ilk) let me know.  what i need is a garage.

i took in my old pentax for a check up, batteries, and some brand new film. this camera was my dad's, and before that it belonged to his friend who came to visit from britain and forgot it. it's 37 years old and still works perfectly. there is not a digital camera on the planet that will work for 37 years. i caught myself walking down the street with it, a bummed cigarette, and old pj harvey in my headphones (thanks to cd dump as detailed above) and came to the conclusion that i have regressed into my 16 year old self. it could be worse (maybe). if i could start over at 16, i would. but not before giving myself a stern talking-to about the appropriate length of skirts and not getting into the habit of selling yourself short (i do it every day). anyway, found the manual online but haven't really needed it so far.

still on my first roll and loving the anticipation. did you know anticipation is a huge part of addiction? lots of studies say it is. we are addicted to the possibility of something, not necessarily the thing itself. mindfuck. you think you want it, but really, you just love wanting it.

i also bought myself that ring; a present to myself. someone's gotta do the hard work around here.
