remember this guy? no? what's that, you haven't memorized my photos of plants? that's weird. anyway, this was just a mini little guy back in february.

look at him now! just makin tracks.

enthused by the success, i started three more, here they be (only two pictured). you can tell that they want to grow because they put out a tiny, clear pokey root into the soil, and then they grow those mini leaf babies. the third one looks kind of dead and shrivelly, but it has the root so he stays.

speaking of staying, this little ginger has been hanging around my house. he's lanky, super friendly and just so beautiful.

he's got majestic stripes, that's for sure.

can i keep him??? i want to. i don't have a ginger cat yet, i think it's time. MORE CATS.

he's a cuddler. i know this because i picked him up and cuddled him.

when i tell people that i think they might think i'm a little crazy, but man, the cat needs to be cuddled and i need to cuddle a cat, so. it all works out.

This resonates with me BIG TIME!!!
I often worry that someone will take Grey Cat away one day. He is overly affectionate when he's outside, it's strange! Also to people walking by on the street. I will hear cooing and ah-ing, look through the window, and sure enough, Grey Cat is rolling around on the pavement with a group of kids and grown ups all petting him passionately. The odd thing is that inside, he will never really let anyone pet him properly, and certainly not children (he always seems to regard any kid's touch as a challenge to dual - when inside). He's a weird one!!
