my mama

last night i made a taco feast for my family for mothers day dinner. it was delicious. i take the soft tacos, and melt cheese on em, then wrap em around hard tacos and bake em a bit more. the soft ones hold all the bits of the hard ones in (nothing worse than tacos that fall apart on you) and the melty cheese goodness is just a bonus. plus then when you get home later, the leftover prepared shells are a tasty snack with which you can ruin your diet at 11:30pm.

my mom is the greatest, for many reasons. one reason is that she puts things like this in front of your place setting at easter dinner:

here are flowers: mine were the tulips. my mom remarked that it's nice that she has so many vases to choose from, cause she can always find one that's perfect for whatever flowers. a second later she was like "too bad my husband had to die for me to get them". then we laughed and laughed. you have to.

i love dogs so much it hurts. i really want one. as soon as i figure out this job situation i'm thinking it might be time. maybe. dogs. might as well have a kid. thinking about that too. why the hell not. more days than not, i look down at what i'm wearing (and doing) and think that i am basically a camping mom from the '70s (it's a genre of moms, i assure you) so i might as well complete the picture. first: job.

I highly recommend you get a dog. Highly. Then your dog and my dog can expend energies simultaneously, and we can sit back and drink beers.
