last friday was canada day so we celebrated my non-8am start with a coffee.
came home from work and hung out with this little one.
she's found a new favourite spot under this plant.
after lazing around we headed down to rob and tami's to drink some wobbly pops and watch fireworks.
luckily dad brought a cooler for the beers and some sparklers for the kids.

skip to yesterday. the contents of the weekend (a very special wedding) will be detailed later, i want to get my photos off my camera first and other tasks beckon.
trying to get stella to drink as much as possible means playing into her weird habits. i used to try and get her to not drink from my glass, now i feel thankful when she does.
we took her in for the demonstration of how to do the subcutaneous fluid IVs yesterday. it didn't go as well as i'd hoped, but it wasn't terrible. we at least got one done. she was so scared that she tried to bite stephen (never has she ever bitten EVER). hopefully it goes better at home where she can relax a bit. as soon as we got back she was her usualy self, strolling around and stretching which means she wasn't uncomfortable. all the excitement definitely wore her out and she spent a while snoozing on the deck. i put a towel down for her and she went straight to it. such a little princess.
i kept her company while catching some rays for under ten minutes because it was tooooo hot.
today: island time!!! hopefully.
