whose streets? our streets.

now that it's friday i suppose i will finally report on something that happened on monday. this is clearly your source for BREAKING NEWS so i'm sorry for the lag.

on monday night, a couple hundred people-both men and women (although mostly women) rallied at christie pits to speak out against the string of sex assaults that have been happening in the neighbourhood.

marching through the streets, cars honked with us and passerbys joined the parade.

it's funny how seeing your neighbours at something like this can really make you feel better about the whole thing. it's about sending a message that it will not be tolerated and that we have to work together to keep each other safe. that the responsibility for safety can't lie in the hands of women alone, that it's everyone's issue.

furthermore, in honour of tomorrow being caturday, here is a photo of me and stella, just havin' a time.
